How Much Sand Should I Use?Updated 5 months ago

Our standard sand is a bright white sand which looks great with the RGB lights, but you might want to bring some additional color and sparkle. Our sand and other colors of glitter can be purchased here if you're curious- but they're only in sizes for the Oasis Mini at this time. We do not have any recommendations about how much glitter to add to our Oasis Tables, so you'll have to experiment with specific amounts for each Oasis Table.

We have a tutorial for the Oasis Mini showing a technique for removing sand that works for all of our Oasis Devices if you end up adding too much and need to take some out.

Oasis Mini

The Oasis Mini uses 1 small Oasis Mini packet of sand, which measures out to be roughly 5 teaspoons. It may not feel like enough at first, but if you add too much, it can cover the LED's and make the Oasis Mini darker when the sand bunches around the outer edges.

Oasis Side Table

The Oasis Side Table uses 1 pack of sand that's pre-measured for the Oasis Side Table. Since the Oasis Side Table has raised LED's, we expect the sand to collect around the edge! We're not too worried about exact measurements and you're welcome to try different amounts at your own risk.

Oasis Coffee Table 

The Oasis Coffee Table uses 3 packs of sand that are pre-measured for the Oasis Side Table. Since the Oasis Coffee Table is much larger, it requires 3 of these bags. The Oasis Coffee Table has raised LED's and we expect the sand to collect around the edge. We're not too worried about exact measurements and you're welcome to try different amounts at your own risk.
